Great tip! This was my method of browsing local web sites until I recently stumbled across a fairly new desktop server application called ServerPress, which handles the configuration of my hosts files for me via a step wizard.

This is an awesome plugin. I'm making a new project based on it. Thanks, it's all I've ever wanted and needed.

As a suggestion, it would be lovely to be able to insert a star based review option, even if it was pretty basic.

For Apache on Windows it was as simple as stated above; editing the httpd.conf file. I should have named the actual file name. It is corrected now.

Hello !

Sure it works, i do like this since the start. What is funny is that i don't know how do do the old way you did before ! ;)

I've never succeed to make "http://localhost/mysite" works !
So each time i switch between local and remote i have to change hosts file.

How do you setup apache for that to works ?

Best regards
